Part 2 (Tech), Step 2   - Build Your Funnel

In process step 3, you planned out your high converting funnel which is designed to bring your ideal avatar into your world and give then an easy win solution to a problem that have on their mind right now.

They get the solution, and you get their email address and the opportunity to provide them with more value (solutions to problems)

In this step, we are going to build your funnel.

Funnel Building

Now obviously funnels are all different, and they can range from very simple to exceptionally complex.

We're just starting out, and so hopefully the funnel you designed in process step 3 was a pretty simple one with these components:

1. A landing page with a promise of a solution to a problem
2. A form that collects first name and email address
3. A thank you page after the user subscribes
4. A tag to show that the avatar was interested in this type of problem & solution
5. (optional) A double-optin email to confirm email address
6. An email sequence that the subscriber was added to that is related to the landing page promise.

Those steps are really the minimum that you need for your first lead capture funnel.

Fortunately, these are EASY to do in Kajabi, and all this can be setup in less than one day (assuming you have planned out the email sequence , the freebie (the solution), the graphics and copy for your landing page).

A Final Word On Pipelines

In Kajabi, funnels are called "Pipelines".

Pipelibes provides you with a variety of funnel templates so you can semi-automate the creation of a funnel.  If you are really green with Kajabi, then this can be a useful tool to get your funnel functioning quickly.  However, it does have some limitations (particularly with page design) and so it's advantage is that Pipelines will get you going quickly, but you should expect to want to recreate you funnel outside of the Pipeline system later on when these limitations become too annoying.

Advanced uses tend to create their funnels from scratch.

So I guess it is the classic tradeoff between ease of use to help you get started fast vs flexibility.  So not a bad place to start, but not used so much by advanced uses.
